I have been profoundly drawn to the visual arts from as early as I can remember. My interest in painting was fostered at an early age by my father, who is an accomplished watercolorist. After exploring different mediums while raising five wonderful children, I finally found myself blessed with the opportunity to focus time on my art. In 2013 I began developing a body of paintings using water media. Primarily, I work in watercolor and acrylic, sometimes adding collage to the mix. I find my inspiration in the beauty of my surroundings, the effect of light on the natural world, people and my emotional impressions. I have begun to show my work locally, and my paintings have been included in exhibits in South Portland, Portland, and Yarmouth.
